Brand

One detail carries the brand. The drop.

Logos, colour, type and the rules that hold them together. Everything here is free to use when you write about DropMerch or link to your shop.

The wordmark. Our primary logo.

Lowercase Cal Sans, tracked in, with the p's descender ending in a drop. Use it wherever there is room for it.

The dm mark. For small spaces.

The d and m share one stem, and that stem runs on into the drop. Use it where the wordmark won't fit: icons, avatars, stamps.

Construction. Built from the letters.

Nothing is drawn freehand. The stems are Cal Sans's own (131 units of a 1000-unit em); each stops 60 below the baseline, and the drop hangs 26 below it: a circle of radius 80 drawn up to a tip 2.1× its radius above the centre.

Clear space and size.

Keep at least one drop's height clear on every side. Don't go below the minimum sizes: the drop stops reading as a drop.

Clear space = the height of the drop
Wordmark: 88 px / 24 mm wide
Mark: 24 px / 7 mm wide
Favicon: 16 px, with a bigger mark tuned for that size

The brand is black and white; the orange belongs to the drop. Use it once per view, for the thing you want seen first. Click a swatch to copy it.

Cal Sans for headings and the logo, Inter for everything you read. Both are open source (SIL OFL).

Usage. A few rules.

Use the files as they are. When in doubt, ink on paper.

Don't colour the letters
Don't stretch or squash it
Don't add outlines or shadows
Don't set it on busy, light photos

Writing the name

In sentences it is DropMerch: one word, capital D, capital M. The lowercase belongs to the logo only.
